New lens! new Pics.

Just got a new lens and am liking it very much. I have not yet had a stabalized lens with decent glass. Looking for advice on comp and exp etc... Thanks

Nice colours, but your focus is off, particularly #2

In #1, I would have preferred the front branch to be in focus, but thats personal preference
In #2, you want the bee's eyes in focus. You have his rear legs in focus.Also, I would not have the mains subject smack in centre. Think 'law of thirds'

Keep practising, macro is a great hobby.

Yeah, you just need to shoot a bunch and learn how your focal plane acts when shooting wide open.
A little practice will get you right on the money.

Thanks! I noticed the focus as well. The subjects were moving lots so it was difficult to capture. Practice will make it better I guess. Thanks for the advice appreciate it.
