I had hoped that they would do a formation take off, but at least the formation pass before departure was good, although I didn't really get a shot I was happy with on the single pass.

It was also a shame that so much of the program had to be cut due to the high winds, and then loosing the Lancaster to engine problems as well. Alan No we didn't, they were refuelling and we had a fairly long drive home. It chucked it down soon after we hit the A1, wouldn't like to have been in the open!

More info | Aug 08, 2011 18:14 | #9 Yes the Sea Fury was rather awesome. I guess that you must have been heading south on the A1, the weather looked worse off to the south most of the afternoon. The rain held off at the aerodrome and it was a nice clear run back up to Wellingborough. In fact I stopped for a shot of the Cardington Airship Sheds on the way (on my Old Warden thread).
