We had the joy of photographing a true hick wedding from beer first thing in the morning to tractor rides into the reception hall! We had the joy of having one lady, (a "friend" of the family) who decided that because her niece got married not too long ago and the photographers did a horrible job that she would follow us around everywhere with her little Nikon pop up flash taking a picture of EVERYTHING that we took a picture of. She was constantly getting in the way of pictures and hired this creepy videographer
as a surprise gift to the bride but the bride didn't even want a video. We had to tell her a few times to back off. This was the first time we have ever encountered such a person and I never want to meet one of those again but I am sure it will happen again. All in all, it was a great day, really fun and we are very happy with their pics.

C&C is appreciated!

Great captures! Sometimes those country weddings can be the best.

the pictures you have posted are very nice, but certainly do not indicate a 'hick' wedding whatsoever!

i expected to see a keg stand at least!

These were some of the best. There were plenty of hick like pictures mixed in.

Here is one example,

I used an Alien Bee 800 with a medium soft box.

This is a great set! I'm sure the quality of the "friend's" photos don't even come close to your shots.

Thanks very much Julie. I feel that my wife and I are really starting to get a handle on this whole wedding photography thing...It has been our first year in real business so, its a learning curve but it has been awesome!

It's not a wedding until the bride hits the trampoline!

Honestly, judging by the gym shorts and flip-flops on the girl in the green shirt, I doubt this bunch would really sweat "distractions."

You did really well here. Take an extra small piece of self confidence and some bragging rights out of petty cash.
