Thanks I gave Jake the setting for full moon shot hand held..many people even after shooting for many years cannot get a good moon shot ;-)a , our fricks will show his parents how good he is..

Jake from 2 am or earlier in hawaii look north and you can see 40 meteors, shooting stars in an hour amazing show...

for the meteor shower use your wide lens 10-20 mm , set at 10 so you can take 30 seconds shot of the milky way and the meteors, point north, the moon will be shining on the south west, and will light any foreground, go high iso on the 7D 3200 even 4000 but see if the moon will over power the foreground.

Jake what lens were you using at the Luau? and what focal length were the shots?

on a tripod, focus manual using live view, put is off and set mirror lock on and use remote shutter or timer shutter control

why are you at F4 you have F2.8 70-200 m lens.
