Stick with the XXD line or higher, unless you need video. IMO, All the Rebels feel plasticky and cheap.

After getting my 7D, I have to agree with this. Holding my 350D with grip after holding the 7D with grip just felt like holding a kids toy. ;)

yeah usedcameras.com has 2 d90's for under 600 right now. i'll wait on a 40d gripped or a straight up 50d. unless a d300 pops up cheap.

i'm going to look at best buy tomorrow, the last time i went in i almost walked out with a 60d. I wish they'de dump the video in some of the cameras and pair it up with a nice lens, or better features like 8fps
could you imagine a t2i with 8 or 9fps.

Afternoon all. :D

A bit of OCF gear turned up today, ordered some of the cheapest I could find :D

The flash bracket/umbrella holder is slightly different from the usual ones as it has a ball head...

I also got a very cheap stand and a very cheap shoot through umbrella (which annoyingly didn't turn up today).

Heya Mike!

Man! That ball head even "looks" cheap. But hey, as long as it does the job I suppose. ;)

So I borrowed Brendan's 200L last night...holy crap, I forgot how heavy that sucker was for taking photos :D

He doesn't even have the mount to whack it onto a tripod. My tripod head, wouldn't be able to handle it....

Maybe time for a new tripod + head :D:D

The solution to that is go lift some weights  I carried it around for a full day. Man up :p

Yes, well kind of - I want some extra options for weddings...this head, a light stand and a shoot through umbrella for about 20 quid!

I do have some Elinchrom gear in my sights for in a month or two to properly build up something of a studio setup.

Ahhh, I had no issues. I just wanted to make sure I didn't drop a lens that wasn't mine ;)

Know what I mean? :D:D
