I dunno if I would enjoy it... right now I have 2 ZOOM lenses and I can already see some strain on my 70-200mm's mount because of the frequency I change lens when I shoot

Don't get me wrong. Zooms have their place for quick results but, just using the 35,50, and 100 alone surprised me how much I have to think about composition.

i'm with you, fast glass is not as necessary now with high ISO capabilities of today's cameras, even Steven's antique has no problems

I remember your example of using a lens wide open and only having one eye in focus. It's not pleasant to see imo.

I actually saw a lot of samples of the Samyang 35mm f/1.4 wide open and it seems like its pretty sharp

Get the 35 1.4 then. For the price it's not bad.
