That's way out of my budget bcoz' some of that money is going to a 1Ds IV. Give me an Ultegra option and I'm good to go. ;)

There just aren't many Ultegra Di2 options. It's a brand new drivetrain, it will take sometime before it's widely available. But, on the bikes it is, it looks like it comes at quite a premium over Ultegra.

The Ultegra Cervelo S5 for example is $4800, the Ultegra Di2 is $6000.

I should just get a bike without Di2. It's not going to make a difference for me. :p

You're going to get more bike for the money if you go without Di2. I don't think it's a bad option.

Hi Danny.

LOL! I'm actually enoying the foot zooming bcoz' I don't feel like a lazy photog anymore.;)

I dunno if I would enjoy it... right now I have 2 ZOOM lenses and I can already see some strain on my 70-200mm's mount because of the frequency I change lens when I shoot :o:o

Here's my rationale. Your D700 is great at lowlight and bumping up the ISO isn't going to hurt you.:) PLus, I'm not fanatical using a lens at f1.2-f1.8 anymore. You saw my image of my daughter using the Zeiss 100 @ f2.8. It's bcoz' I pushed the stroller where light was available and took the shot. ;)

i'm with you, fast glass is not as necessary now with high ISO capabilities of today's cameras, even Steven's antique has no problems

i do too but i can't help but think a new 24-70 is coming out soon and it will be killer so i'll wait a bit ;)

Ya if it's comparaible to the 70-200 II then it would be worth it...

But when I have my 24-105 it's at 24 or 105 90% of the time. 24LII is a option.

its not about lowlight, I want the very thin dof effect though  I actually saw a lot of samples of the Samyang 35mm f/1.4 wide open and it seems like its pretty sharp :D

Don't get me wrong. Zooms have their place for quick results but, just using the 35,50, and 100 alone surprised me how much I have to think about composition. ;)

I remember your example of using a lens wide open and only having one eye in focus. It's not pleasant to see imo.

Get the 35 1.4 then. For the price it's not bad.

the 24mm on a new zoom will be at least as good as the 24 L in my opinion and will cost the same too :D
