* EDIT - Please excuse the miss-spelling of the corner name. It should be Surtees... It's been a long day! *

Well after a pretty good days racing at Brands Hatch I thought I'd better catch up and share some shots. As I mentioned to Glenn, my first post is a crash sequence at Surtees, shot from where the GP circuit re-joins at Clearways.

If it weren't for the action that was captured most of these would have been scrapped due to blown highlights, blur, bad focus etc but I'm still pleased with catching the action. :) I was afterall taken a bit by surprise by this!

I'll try to share some better quality shots of the rest of the day later.

Thanks for looking,
Steve

Great sequence, I managed to get it when it had come to rest as I was concentrating on the corner nearest me due to my current reach shortness and I was halfway between you and Dave so we all got different shots of it.

Stunning! I recall feeling guilty catching some downhill bike accidents because I knew it was so terrible for the rider, but I was exuberant that I had my camera in the right place at the right time.

He was fine as far as I could see, he climbed out right away and walked away from it.

I knew someone would catch it! Good work.

:)

Both drivers got out....and ran! Wouldn't you?!

Thanks guys.

I guess I should have mentioned that both drivers appeared okay after the incident. I was amazed to see the driver get out and walk off from this one.

Normally when somethng like this happens I'm looking the wrong way and miss most of the action. For once I was tracking the right cars!!

Andy - These were shot in JPEG. I'm still trying out RAW and due to lack of cf cards I had to balance between some RAW and some JPEG.

Cheers,
Steve

Spectacular sequence, I was wondering if anyone saw it let alone get photos of it. Well done.

I saw the wrecked Sierra out the back by the trucks, looked nasty. Glad to hear the drivers were A ok. Nasty.

Cheers
