I have a 28-135mm that I love I think its pretty darn sharp but am thinking about selling it because I never use it. I would rather have some one else enjoying it rather than it sitting on my desk not being used.

The question: have you regretted selling a lens? This is not about me or my lens.

I thought the same thing about my 50mm(metal mounts) that I never used.

100% agree. those lenses come up for sale often so if you regret selling one you can always get another. In the mean time you can get something else to play with.

Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 AI-S which I sold cheap to someone I know. Short time after that, he sold it again to fund a new DSLR :-/
Haven´t tested that lens not enough before I sold it.

I also agree, if I don't like or use it...it goes. Never had regrets and if I would have I try to get an other one.

Miss my 50 f/1.4 all the time. 85 f/1.8 MFD sucks for indoor use.

I used the 85LII quite extensively for 3 months. I really wanted to be sure that it was worth that insane price tag. In the end, I could not justify it. Don't get me wrong, it's all sorts of sexyness and pretty much lives up to all the hype (creamy bokeh, impossibly-thin DOF) - but I could not live with the fact that it was almost the price of a 5DII.

Maybe when I start booking $5K weddings or win the lottery, then I may reconsider, but for the time being, I don't really miss it all that much.

I have, and there's a few lenses I've sold, only to buy again a ways down the road.

But then I may regret selling it. I know there are plenty of these lenses out there though hmm.

I've never regretted selling a lens. I've only sold one, but still.
I suppose I'm sort of a hoarder. I will say I feel I use all my lenses equally, and only buy when it adds something completely new to my set. All my lenses are equally used and varied in my opinion.
I've only sold one lens because I upgraded. That way I've already tried out the lens and will miss nothing about the old one. So I lost nothing in the end.
In other words, I only will sell unless I'm hurting for money or upgraded. And I'm sure I won't miss it. :)

I'm about to sell the 135L and get a sigma 70-200 OS. In all honesty I'm quite satisfied with the pcitures of 70-200 2.8 lens , like the non-IS 2.8 from Canon.

I'm not sure if I'll regret selling 135L. It's amazing : fantastic IQ, fast and precise AF.

Maybe I should keep it and get the 70-200 os? :D

I haven't, if I really missed it, I would just buy a new one for maybe $150 over what I sold mine for. (I have only sold one lens, though.)
