Julian, Ben and anyone else who uses a Lee foundation kit...do find the need for Lee's hood? I shoot 99% of the time with a hood. Just wondering if it's a problem not being able to shoot with a lens hood while using the foundation kit. Thanks!

I use hoods when I can use filters. But yeah, if the sun is in the shot, a hood won't help. If it's far enough out of the frame, you don't have issues anyway. So the angles where you NEED a hood are pretty small anyway, in terms of blocking flare. At least IMHO. I've thought about getting their hood for a brief second, basically for long enough to see the price. ;)

Another thing to try, is if you're having flare/glare issues when using your filter set, shoot one shot with the sun causing the problem, then a second with the sun blocked with a finger or your hand in the frame. Merge the 2 in post so you can edit/clone out the flare easily. That seems to be the best solution as it's free and works very well.

Yeah, the wide angle hood is like 240 at B&H  I'd rather spend 200 on a reverse grad :D I really like your idea of merging 2 shots! Thanks! :)

Hi Chris. I had one of those before but, it wasn't very useful imho. I found it a bit bulky to carry and fiddly to set up. So, save your money. :)

I have second one on order just incase! LOL The polarizer is my mostly used filter. Actually it's the only filter I had screwed on my lenses. When needed of course :) Hopefully now that I have the foundation kit I'll use the others :D
