I've just found this problem :

Can someone tell me what the purple haze is? Is it a bad sensor?
This is a 60sec exposure (CHDK) btw and the sensors temp. was about 33C.

You might do a broad Search on the main branch of this Forum, until someone can give better info related to the G specifically.
