Just noticed the rubber grip on my 7D had come unglued in a small section. Guessing this has happened to others. What have people used to glue this back on?

Thanks

Adam

I had this problem with a Zeikos grip.... After several other failed attempts, I got some super glue made by Gorilla Glue.... That stuff works like a charm.

Never heard of this on the 7d.

Hope it isn't widespread!

You can either glue it yourself or send it in if it is under warranty.

DON'T SUPERGLUE ANYTHING. If you do, you'll be screwed if you need repairs done on it.

If you superglue the rubber, they can't take apart the camera... Trust me, I've taken apart a lot of cameras.

I picked up the 7D shortly after it came out. So not under warranty, I still may send it in though I'll get the dial replaced as well with the new dial.

Otherwise camera is in great shape. I do use it a lot for sports photography where my hands may be sweating a lot.

You can get contact adhesive in a tube, the type that you spread a thin coat on each surface and wait a while before pressing the parts together. In the UK the stuff is called Thixofix.
