Upstate photographer sentenced for withholding wedding photos

...I didn't see this story posted here, but knowing my luck its already been posted several times all over the forum! Interesting story: especially the advice from the bride not to pay the full amount up front. I'm offering no opinion, but am interested in peoples thoughts on this.

He has to turn over the images AND repay their money? That's a bad precedent. "Just file a police report and you can get free wedding pics!"

There has to be more to this story than what's reported. WHY did he withhold their photos? What photos did he withhold? How long was it between the wedding and the time they initiated the charges?

In the video clip is seems he never delivered any photos and it was 2 years from the wedding to charges. They called, emailed but never heard from the photog so they filed charges. Sure looks like the photog screwed up.

How did he get a jury trial and this was all the story that the reporter could come up with? Hmmm
