free online booking service/calendar or open source software?

I'm building my own website using a lot of open source software because I like the freedom and adjustability I can do will little to no pay. The only problem I'm having right now is finding a system where clients can book a time/date without having to register and have a calendar display dates booked/open with times available...

is there anything that exists like this?

ok let me rephrase that... now that I think about it, the way I want it to go is that they essentially bid for that spot. It's not an actual confirmed booking until they make the down payment.

I want them to be able to pick a date and time... submit that information, then that will show on the calendar that there is a pending event for that time and date.

Client side... after they submit that request, it asks them to contact me for a meeting. Once everything is ok and I have the downpayment in my hand. Pending event can then be changed to official.

But it would mean the client emailing or phoning you with a date and you then entering it on the calendar.

Are you a client of millers? Would their free book {m} work?

If your using wordpress as the base for your site then this could be a good fit

I think using wordpress booking calendar would be better option, so that clients can easily update available dates without any pre-registration.
