Please don't tell me what to do. Thanks. Adding more photos to the first post would be a bit overkill.

And, the last one for today. Excuse my poor etiquette by not lumping 12 photos into one post.

:p

on a side(and somewhat sad) note, i'm sending my sigma in for repair. it's making noises no lens should ever make. it's freaky loud, and scares small children and pets, causing them to flee in terror. thankfully, it's warrantied, so it's all good. i still have my trusty tried and true 18-135.

How many of you have peeling grips on your cams? If so do you plan on fixing yourself or warranty? My 1 yr is almost up so i'm thinking now is the time to send it in.

My T2i did it, and my 60D does it. I'll proabably send it in when warranty is about to end.

I must be the only one who's not suffering this, but I hear lots and lots of users have this issue.

Okay mikey. Lol.

On a more serious note. I'm very unhappy with this Tammy as a landscape lens. It is extremely soft. I just got hit with bad news, today, as well. There will be no Tokie in my near future. I'm very bummed.

What I can do, though, is post some spectacularly ****ty photographs and drink beer. Time to get started.

errmm, is the Tamron not warrantied either? Don't they have like some 6 year warranty thing ? You could always go for a true wide angle as far as landscaping goes. xD

Agreed. The 17/18mm end on the standard crop zooms really don't hold a candle to the 10-XX zooms out there. Especially if you are expecting to get the nice things that come with the uwa's like great dof.

I've had canon 10/22, sig 10/20, tok 11/16 and can 17/40 all in the last 6 months on 1.6 crop bodies. IMO, they all performed better than any of the 17/18-5X at their lowest matched focal length settings.

No clue. It was a trade from the local camera shop guy for my T3 kit. Got a decent pod out of it too, not just the lens.

Anywho, I've had some very sharp images out of this lens already. I'm going to hold off on shooting the shark and see if it wasn't me.

Oh. and about the true wideangle....with the news I received today, I will probably never be able to buy another piece of gear again. So, that's out.

I'm looking on the bright side of things. At least, when I do keel over, they can't say I was a slob.
