Have you tried loading the update onto an SD card and using the method to update from a card, rather than from EOS utility? I know I used the card method for the last update or two without any issues. I know I used the card method for the last update or two without any issues. My road trip is going well, started out rainy, then up into the mountains that turned into cold, foggy, and rainy, but now that I'm in the central portion of the state the weather has been gorgeous. Still a little too warm for good fall colors, but I'm managing anyway. ![]() A couple samples from the trip so far. No PP on either of these, just ran a quick RAW to JPEG export from LightRoom. First one is with my 24-105mm, 2nd one is with the 8mm Rokinon Fisheye. ![]() Rainbow in the Valley ![]() Greenhouse Love the greenhouse! This makes me want a fisheye badly.

jay125 the title fairy put me in therapy More info | Oct 08, 2011 18:39 | #4271 simonhans wrote in post #13222695 @Meglet So do I just drop the .fir file onto the SD card, insert then what? Thanks :-/ once the fir is on your card, put the card into the camera, go to the menu section and tab over to the third "wrench". at the bottom will show your firmware version, click on it and it will give an option to upgrade your firmware. it's pretty simple and it walks you through the process. should only take a few minutes, at least on mine it does.
