OMG....I haven't logged on in 4 weeks.....sooo much to read and view. Oh well, I always find it interesting.

A quick question.....anyone use an Anroid tablet with the appropriate Android app to use the tablet as a tethered remote controller for the 60D (i.e access to all of the camera's functions, especially when the camera is on a tripod)?

Can I ask you guys a question? What is up with the kinda sideways pics? Is that like a valid photography trend or something that fauxtographers do to look "arty"? My FB friend loves this lady's "work" but I'm like why are all the pics cockeyed? Am I behind the trend here?

It's pretty common. A lot of photogs overtilt though, and to me that just distracts, but I've seen some tilted that look fantastic. I tend not to use it, but I have a time or 2.

I think it's horribly distracting and is used entirely too much. Getting your stuff level is one of those rules that only a really, REALLY good photographer is allowed to break...And still have the pic work (for me).

I think it works on cars and nothing else..

I especially hate it on cars. Every time I see somebody on a car forum post a picture like that, I ask them if they were falling over when they clicked the shutter.

But car forums require internet helmets...I wouldn't do that here :D

^rofl

Yeah I try not to overdo it at all or use it for that matter. I like simple shots because you can pull it off if you composed right in the first place.

EDIT: But I will say, it does catch your attention even if it's a positive or negative type. It's always something different right?

Ed Zachary.

Your Acura isn't a 4x4, don't make it look like it's climbing a 42% grade.

How funny. Just last night I was talking to my wife about a friend of hers that just picked up a camera a few months back. She does this tilt thing all the time... It's so distracting. I don't like tilting my head to look at a picture, three or four in a row and I'm falling over sideways...
