Remember that IS will give you a more useable slow shutter but it will not help stop action. Likewise 2.8 will give you a more native fast shutter in that same low light than a native f4 would. In the end that argument between those 2 lenses come down to if you are shooting static or moving subjects.
Example being, being able to shoot at 1/15 a 105mm may seem great if your shooting a stool in a dim bar but pit a person on that stool that is interacting and moving and 1/15 ain't gonna seem so hot when you review the images (read: motion blur). High ISO is the ticket in low light, then fast glass, then subject control.
It's the thought that counts Vin

Take a look here at this sweet deal. You must act by midnight tomorrow however.

Most of my shooting will be mo ing subjects. I do nderstand that there will be only so much I can do once it's dark even with a 2.8 thanks for the link, that is very tempting. How are the refurbed slr holding up? With that saving should I purchase a warranty for it. Shoot it's going to be hard debating over the night hahaha
Well I added the canon site deal and it came out to almost 1000 after shipping and stinky taxes. So there is only a 125 in saving which I think it might be worth buying it new from b&h and at least have warranty for a full year rather than a month only?
