So, what is everyone up to this week-end?

I just bought a snowmobile. Tonnes of snow. Might take my little girl for a ride if I can find a helmet. Or maybe pull her on a tube. Gotta find that. Also have my hockey wind up party on Sunday so that should be fun.

Also, getting some gear lust. Really want a zeiss 21mm but also want the flexibility of a zoom. 16-35mm? I know you have one David, how do you like it? Also was thinking of getting a Nikon 14-24mm.

I really love my 16-35. Well worths it's money. As of now, it gets more use than my 70-200mkii. I'm shooting for night clubs and that lens is the one to go. When shooting events/shows, it's 5D+ 70-200 and 60D + 16-35. Very great combo.

I think the beer idea was good. I'd like to see some different types.

Here's a Idea for a photo challenge. Take a pic this weekend of something in your town or that's unique to your town/city/state that's not something the rest of the world normally would see or know about. Give us some background on it. Like here in Utah they have fry sauce which is really just ketchup and mayo, but everyone that ever comes here is always like, what is it? Or it could be a place like Crystal hot springs. It's a swimming hole with hot and cold springs. There are only two places in the world where you can find hot and cold springs. I want to say they told me the other was in Japan?

I have the perfect subject for this. I just don't have the right lens to capture it. :/

I cut off tops of heads all the time. I like the effect. Focus' more on the subjects facial features and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

that's what i thought too.

Also the crop is too close, remember you lose even more of the image when you frame it, he'll end up losing like half df the top of his head!

It's ok when done right.
