Been having some crazy awesome electrical storms here lately and have been able to get some amazing shots. Got this one and a few others I really didn't like, then we watched lightning hit about 100 yards from us and decided to get in the truck and get some pics from a distance.

Nice!

Did any of you guys ever see that video of the 7D doing a timelapse and getting nailed with lightning in one of the shots? Totally fried it. :)

I saw the one where a laser light show destroyed a sensor. That gave me nightmares.

Vixen, why both fisheye? The 8mm wasn't enough?

owh, one's a wide angle silly. ^^

8mm fisheye and the 14mm wide angle or at least that's what the lens label said..:o.

Anyone have any pointers for wildlife (dawn and/or dusk) and the 55-250 with this body? Contemplating a trip, this weekend. Time to get off of my ass and take some real photographs.

I plan on using a monopod, for portability. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all,

I finally had a chance to get out and use my 60D this past weekend. Took this pic of my nephew at city walk here in Orlando using my 700-200L.

i've never used a monopod. as for catching the wildlife, if it's anything like iowa, you have to watch the tree lines and look for water, for both deer and birds.

Well, we're well below the tree line. Good suggestion, I'll try to stay near water. It is full of lakes, so that should make it somewhat easier.
