Looking for inspiration from people here or any photographer's portfolio that you've seen that you'd like to share. Haven't seen anything in awhile that has made me go 'woah' and I know that somewhere, someone is creating awesome photos.

I'm open to all genres of photography/digital imaging and can appreciate originality in basically any genre, so post away, but my favorite categories would have to be:

commercial/advertising
sports, mostly action/non-traditional sports
architecture/interiors
conceptual

I try to be original as much as I can, but that's a high bar to jump...

This fits none of your categories, but I think I have some... None of them are mine, sadly. :(

My personal favorite photo - http://timelapseblog.com …e-day-on-a-little-planet/ (external link) - If I remember correctly, he was there for 27 or 30 hours working on this, with a car battery rigged up as his T2i's power supply.

This is more or less amazing lighting all around, with a crazy technique for inducing lens flare - http://www.flickr.com …852636/in/faves-artemisn/ (external link)

And this is architectural, but the photog is actually here on POTN, so you may have seen it before - http://www.flickr.com …300271/in/faves-artemisn/ (external link)

Rather than try to get something "original" from an online stranger, why not create your own original image and share it in these forums, to demonstrate your ability?

I kinda like this one. Bank of China in Hong Kong illuminated with neon lights. It was heavily overcast and he clouds were moving very fast. There was only an opening to reveal the moon every so often. I worked this shot for over an hour. Hand held.

Is that like the Assassin's Creed guild of photography? Because it looks like it.

I like it!

yeah this site rocks for sure, but stylistically everything is pretty much the same. in the end it all looks like it came from one amazing photographer  but there's definitely some awesome stuff there.

Thats the real issue today is everything is looking the same. A lot of calendar art very safe images. Where are the Westons,Bressons, Robert Franks, Duane Michals and the Witkins of the digital world. I do think that Gibson was hitting on something in this interview.
Stay with it. I know 7 minutes but worth the look whether you agree or not.
