Hi all,

I need a little advice, trying to get a good family shot but im having trouble getting all the faces in focus(4) im using a canon 70-200 in daylight, any advice?

Sounds like a depth of field problem, you can increase DoF by using a smaller aperture (larger number) which will help. You may need to raise your ISO to keep your shutter speed high enough to avoid camera shake / motion blur.

Ideally though, post an image showing your problem when asking questions such as this. It makes it much easier to identify problems and give a more suitable reply.

The general rule of thumb that I've heard was to keep your aperture equal to the amount of people in the group (i.e. 4 people = an aperture of 4.0 or larger). The easiest way to do it is just to get everyone on the same focal plane (which can make for boring images though!)
