Hi everyone,

The Black Hawk is classified Code 2 (uncommon) species by the ABA (American Birding Asso.), and usually can be found in the southern states of America.

This particular bird is wild and is found in a fishing village in Mexico where he's used to accept offerings of unwanted fish with passing-by fishermen.

Thanks for looking.

Wow, stunning images of a super difficult bird to see, in Texas anyways. I like #1 and #3 the best. Did you consider cropping out the perch in #3? I find my eye is drawn to it, away from that gorgeous bird, one for my wish list.

Thank you Crimzon:

No, this is not a Setup, I just hired a local fishing boat with a 50 hp outboard motor and the fishermen/part time tour operator just took me to the bird with fresh fish provided.

$50 for 2 hours.:)

Camera used was the Canon1DmkIII and lens was 400mmL5.6 handheld with natural light.
