Hello! This is my first wedding that I've shot and I'm very happy with the turn out. Here are a few of my favorites. Let me know what you think!

Nr 1 and 2 are the same pic as far as I can tell?
I like nr 5, the colors look refreshing, and the point of view is interesting.

I would check the whitebalance on 6 and 7 though if I were you, it looks as if it's off, the skincolor of the bride and groom looks too red/yellow.
And maybe correct the perspective a little bit on 3, cuz I assume you used a wideangle there? Cuz it looks like those church benches are tilting a little bit towards the center path.

YOu did a pretty good job though considering this is your first wedding. You certainly have an eye for photography. Just work a little bit on your post processing skills ;)

Hope my advice is helpful in any way

I also did redid the color balance of the B&W #4. I didn't like the dark skin tones in it so i made it a little lighter, i was gonna see what you thought.

The ones you re-did look a lot better already! Maybe you wanna play with the red channel a little bit in photoshop to tone the red down just a lil bit.

Very cool! Were most of these taken with flash, and were any wireless flash used?

I really like 6 and 7, and the PP was definitely useful.

All of the reception pictures were taken with on camera flash. All the ceremony stuff was no flash.

if you could explain what you mean a little more, i'd really appreciate it. That kind of contradicts eachother. are you saying the pictures are underexposed?

I would have to assume he means they're under-exposed. More ambient would just mean to slow down the shutter speed and then fill as necessary with flash. The very first picture is a good example. His face is way under-exposed and the focal point of the flash appears to be on the lower left of her dress.

That was the point. The idea of that picture is to exaggerate the length of the dress, i had no intention of having his face in the picture at all, and that's not where you're eye is drawn, so to me, it doesn't really matter.

Here's my take.
1. If you were accentuating the dress, then cutting it off at the bottom probably wasn't the best idea. I also noticed the groom's face right away.

2. Good detail shot

3. Decent shot. I would straighten it out though.

4. Good shot. I would have framed a little looser b/c it feels a little cramped.

5. good detail shot.

6. WB is off on both versions and looks underexposed. Good moment captured however.

7. Second version looks better. Like his expression.

8. Good shot.

I think these are pretty good for your first.

Jeez, if this is your first effort....... I'm doomed. I have my first wedding in three weeks and I'm not ready. It's an unpaid gig, but even so I'd rather put it off for a few months.

If mine turn out like yours I'll be stoked!

I hate being bipolar. It's great.
