I had my 430exII fall off a stand Sat night. The only damage done was the diffusion panel broke off. I think this is the second time it has ever been out. So it is not really a problem. However the problem is, with the carriage that holds it extended, I cant set the zoom manually or automatically .
So the question is if I push the tab that holds the diffusor, back down, will I regain zoom control or is the sensor on the panel it self?
Right now it is fully extended. So it will be literally a 10 second fix if I have to replace the diffusor. But will not spend the time or money if I can make it work without the panel.
