A couple from Mosport

It was the start of a run that saw me at a racetrack 7 days or nights in 11 days, with stupid hot weather the order of the day for most of that stretch too. Our home grown touring car series is quickly becoming a fav of mine to shoot, as I love saloon car racing, as it is as real as it gets in comparision to what we drive on the street.

Are these both turn 5A? Can you get those shots without a photo pass?

The 1st is 5A and the second is in turn 3, and you can't duplicate the 1st without standing in the right spot and having the right focal length.

The second one you could do it without a pass, if you have a long enough lens to shoot from behind the spectator fence, and there are no credentialed shooters in your way.

Turn 5 allows you to shoot without a photo pass, but it's more from "above" than at bumper level, so the images aren't going to be quite as good. Also, you will have an impossible time trying to get this shot.
