Soft GND filteIr for architecture and landscape

Currently I'm using photoshop technique for architecture and landscape photoshoot.

I found out it doesn't create a realistic shoots.

That's even with +-2 stop combination of the pictures.

Thus, I plan to get a .9 soft GND Lee filter.

I shoot mostly architectures and sometimes landscape in the morning and afternoon.

I plan to get a filter holder for 72mm and 77mm filter thread( based on the lens I owned)

Does a Cokin filter holder is good enough? I read from here that it's the filter that's more important than a holder, thus I wanted to save some cost by getting a Cokin holder coupled with Lee GND filter.

What are you guys opinion on this?
