First link is to blog showing it. Second link is to where you can see the actual listing if it stays up. Mistake? Maybe.

Thanks to borrow lenses feed (FB). They post a bunch of good stuff for a lens rental company!

Hope it's for real.

One thing though, why would the extended warranty of the NEW 1Ds Mark IV, be LESS than that for the OLD 1Ds Mark III?

Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever! ;)

Since we're just rumoring...

What if Canon brought the 1DsMkIV to market at a "significantly" lower price point than previous iterations? What if it were down closer to the 1DMkIV at say $6.5K instead of up closer to $9K?

Might shake things up a bit, eh?

Well, if they did, I'll be first in line. :) You interested?

Not right now, no...

Perfectly happy with APS-H. Only major move I'd consider right now is to replace MkIII with a 2nd MkIV...

I am curious though to see where Canon takes the "bleeding edge" next. Gonna need something out of left field I think. Might need sRAW Video (call it mini raw.) Might need to make the full-frame beast @ 50Mp and 3fps that can self crop to either other flavor and do say, 10-12fps @ APS-C size and 21Mp.

I dunno...

Digital hasn't had a "game changer" in a while and I think it's due...

A "No F-ing Way!" price point might qualify as a game changer...

Here's a What If: What if Canon offset the price increases on glass with a price reduction on next gen bodies?

Instead of rechargeable Li-on batteries, it's powered by a cold fusion cell :D

Idk to be honest. Anything goes at this point until we have some type of announcement. The 1Ds IV price point will gauge of what's to come in the prosumer bodies (5D III or 7D II).

Based on MSRP? The warranty price would put it at the same value as the 1d4
