Get that gorilla mask out of the closet, because on Tuesday night it was already a zoo out there!
Traffic gridlock by the time the light was pretty good. I couldn't believe it. Great weather & I expected a lot of cars, but this looked like Saturday 5 years ago.

I tried to get some wheel blur, but every time they were going faster than 5mph, some person or mom in her minivan got in the way. Then there was also the "helpful" guy who was in the open, saw the camera, & stopped so I could get a good shot! LOL!

If anyone is planning on going out there for pictures on Saturday, I highly recommend that you get out before then. Just south of "the Shell" is Duggans which is a decent background. The McDonalds at 13 mile works well, too, with the advantage of being at a stop light, so you might have a fighting chance of getting a Classic that breaks out of the pack when the light changes.

1. "The Shell" Was busy Tuesday night. It's at 13-1/2 mile on the East side of Woodward.

2. Fords, & four Classics in one shot! It made my night! This is the only shot I got with more than two Classics in it w/out any minivans or new iron.

3. GM was represented out there, too. A nice Camaro & a Goat.

Wish I had time. Someone want to watch the kids?

Nice shots! I never go to the cruise. I would like to, but no time.

Too bad that you can't make it, Randy. It was just as busy out there last night.
Thanks for the comments, guys.

my favorite part about shooting people coming and going at shows are the facial expressions on the people.

I was home alone with 2 kids under 3 last night. No chance of dragging them an hour away when that would be their bedtime. Friday the wife and I are going to Royal Oak for a show. I need to make sure she is aware of the cruise... And perhaps throw my camera in the back. ;)

Frank - is this cruise also referred to as the Woodward Dream cruise? My father lives in Michigan and he has told me that is an awesome cruise.

Yes, the Dream Cruise is this weekend. It's every August. Not sure how the actual date is chosen.

I did that one year with the people in the cars. Search for "Faces in" I think.

They hold it as near to my birthday as they can! :D
Third weekend in August I think. But the cruisers are out there weeks ahead of that time.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Wish you could be here!

Thanks, guys! We've had some pretty great weather for it. Sunday I'm planning to go to the Selfridge air show, so I expect that will end with heavy overcast & maybe rain. :D

Do you have a link to details on this? I live a couple miles from there.
