Went all prime with just a 35L and a zeiss 50 1.4 am I crazy or what? Sold all my zooms including 24-105, canon 17-40 also the tamron 17-50vc and my 70-300 is usm I think I can finally be happy with my setup, there is just something about primes I just love what do you think about my two lens lineup, now I just have to get a new camera with a big viewfinder for my zeiss currently I'm using the t2i. Any opinions would be very helpful thank you

Lenses are tools. use what gives you best results/experience. I would certainly not use those two lenses as my only primes on a crop body, as it does not suite my shooting style, and are too close in range. Furthermore, if you like the look of primes, you will like it lot more on full frame. you would be much better off in just about every concievable way, unless you want to shoot video, with a classic canon 5d, canon 35 f2, and 85 1.8 as your prime setup, at a total cost of 1500, which is about the price of your 35L. If you wanted to splurge, keep the 35L instead of the 35 f2, but I would trade the t2I and zeiss for a 5d and 85 1.8 any day, and I have shot with both. I infact think you can probably pick up a 5d2 for that much money.

At one time I had nothing but prime lenses which I loved for a short time but the novelty wore off. I now have a nice mix, and prefer it that way. At times, you just need more versatility even if you don't have the most crazy IQ that primes can offer. I am very happy with my mix as is!

I can't do just primes... A bit limiting to me, but fun to use.
