Shooting at Le Mans 2011

Any tips or thoughts for those of us who hope to someday make a trip there for the 24 hours, but won't have the coveted media credentials ? Did it seem like there is much in the way of decent shooting opportunities at the event if you're stuck on the other side of the fence ?

I'm off to Le Mans tonight for the first time in 12 years so it was great to have a bit of a refresher and really good info regarding what time to shoot and where.
