So recently I borrowed 2 x SB800 flashes from my school and purchased another 2 x YN560 flashes. I now have 5 hotshoe flashes for awhile, which means 5 sets of 4AA's for flash use alone. Don't forget the pocketwizard, the CN-126 video light, the torch, the audio recorder...

That means about 30 AAs may be used at the same time in one go (say... if for some odd reason I get someone to do a BTS video of my small-flash shoot). So... back ups, right? Be a little conservative and only have backups for the flashes. That puts the number of AA's at 50.

And yet I'm stuck with a 4 bay AA charger by Sanyo and I think I need to have a better way of charging them. I've heard of chargers with 4 bays and 8 bays. Anyone know what's the most cost effective (i.e. cheapest) no frills plug and charge without all the 'advanced' features kind of charger in the market today?

And if anyone has a way of storing all the AA's (maybe in the pack that comes with the batts, maybe in some other case?) that'll be great!

The 8 bay MAHA C808M is probably the best I can think of.
