If you are like me.
What is the main reason why you are stop using it? (external link)

I don't think it's open to the public yet. If not, the main reason I don't use it is because none of my friends or family have access to it yet and that makes it hard to communicate with nobody.

What are you talking about?
Once you received and have one from POTN user. You can invite family and friends and they in turn could invite the family(in-laws) and friends. I received one from POTN, I invited my family and friends. But they stop using it, and so I stop using it.

I can barely stand Facebook, wouldn't use it at all if it wasn't for a few people I do want to stay in touch with. Why would I want to start using another useless (to me) service ? Other people have years invested in FB, though, and seem to be living on it. They have hundreds of friends. Why would they want to switch to a new service, if their friends aren't active on it ? So it's a lose-lose situation for G+. They may have great tools, but they are just too late. I don't see Google+ succeeding, unless they do something really inventive, or Facebook does something really dumb.

I think Google is on the right track. I think they should have a free photo site with unlimited usage from the get go. Similar to Smugmug. I bet they'd grab up users in a heart beat.

Stopped using it mainly because none of my friends were on it, and also because I'm way too used to facebook

So far I am finding it hard to find the big attraction with G+.....the much hyped Circles don't seem any better than the various friends list options available on facebook. And I am getting tons of spam from people in the UK....seems everyone that lives in Leicester, UK is a spammer and they think those of us that live in Leicester USA want to be recipients.

Yes, spammers are a turn off. I hate to go thru and delete hundreds of emails.

It felt so barren to me, and I hardly have time in my life for the social networking sites that I'm using now. Trying to add in another one that ultimately does the same thing just feels useless and repetitive.

It is a one or the other scenario to me, I don't need both G+ and Facebook. If the mass majority of friends, family, clients, etc decided to move over then I would make the switch as well...but I think most people are far too comfortable and happy with the functionality of facebook/twitter and are deeply embedded with friends, groups, pages, games, applications, etc.

G+ would need to offer a major incentive for people to start over and rebuild all that they have on FB...and right now...I don't think Google has enough to do that.

Yeah I don't use it that much, whenever they go public and if all my friends join then i'll use it more. I do like that when you upload photos it scales them to a decent size rather than FB's small photo size.

I like the photo aspects of it, much better than FB. However, as everyone else... I'm having a tough time getting into it. I've been forcing myself to post photos and try to use it, but the biggest advantage FB has so far, is that everyone is already there.

I also get far better recommendations on FB than I do on G+. On google, most of the recommendations are people I've never heard of - not very useful.

That said, I don't think twitter is worth a crap either, yet I keep and maintain an account there as well. I'm sort of hoping that Google can kill both and I get one social account that does it all... god wouldn't that be nice.

When the ground started shaking around here today and we were outside waiting to learn if there was any significant damage to our building, I was on Facebook with my iPhone to let family and friends know things were okay. Although it was tough to make calls, data over AT&T's 3G digital network was accessible. G+ wasn't even considered until I'd been back in my office for an hour or so.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about Google+. Anything there?" For me, no. While Facebook may be annoying, G+ for me today was irrelevant.
