It's only one of the world's most famous Rally Cars ever...
Except the feminine POS that you buy isn't a rally car.

This proves that anyone could buy a dSLR (up to the 5D2/7D bodies) and use it like a $100 P&S! I always suspected this was true, but would rather put my head in a mangle than try out green box mode! ![]() LOL! Double-Extra credit for using the work 'mangle' in a sentence. My g'ma had one of those! Canon 5D2 > 35L-85L-135L

I would take a shot in auto, see what camera chose, then switch to M and adjust to what felt the shot needed. I notice in auto it always prefers to pop up flash when most times I wouldn't.

I will admit I think it has its place, even on higher end models. A great example is the other day I was in my upstairs bathroom when I heard a crazy shreek from outside. I looked out the window and saw a hawk going after a crow that was squaking on the ground. I hurried up and sprinted downstairs, snagged my camera and threw on my tele lens, and on the way to the door flipped it into auto. I took one quick shot and then was lucky enough that the hawk stayed perched and allowed me a dozen shots in M mode. The auto mode shot wasn't as good as the rest, but certainly wasn't terrible. And I say that getting a shot that is just decent is better than nothing at all. Your 5DII has pop-up flash? Can I have a link to the thread with the mod please? Will: flickr

Yep, Auto mode sucks a lot of the time, when I first got my camera I used it and the flash would pop up in brightly lit area's and bright sunny days where no fill was needed. I was like WTF I wont touch auto anymore its manual or nothing. Canon EOS Rebel T4i|18-55mm|50mm|55-250mm
