Hi everyone,

I am underway making my website and cards for the new business and can't for the life of me think of what I should give myself as a title.

The slight twist is it is a virtual tour company, not just photography, so I don't think simply putting "photographer" would be completely appropriate.

I also don't want to put president or founder as I don't think that is very personable. After all, what "president" of a company or ceo goes and does a photo shoot or a tour for someone

I am basically looking for something that doesn't sound over the top but is relevant.

Looking for ideas for what everyone else here might have... so lets here it, what title have you given yourself for those starting off alone?

I'm a landscape/nature/wildlife photographer and my card reflects that. My 'title' used to say "Nature Photographer" on by business card. When I showed my graphic designer my card a few years ago he suggested to drop the 'Nature' and just use 'Photographer'. So that's what I did. In person, I say I'm a nature photographer.

Why not just use your name and the name of your business? No pretensions, it's you, and this is your business. Do you have multiple employees where in someone wouldn't know who they were dealing with and where in the hierarchy you were? Otherwise I'd just use "photographer", it's direct and simple. You could always tell people you are a Proton Harvesting and cataloging engineer.
edit: It would be wise to have what exactly you do on the card: i.e., your name, your business name, and what the business does. Simple.

What if you need to take a full-length body shot? Do you outsource?

Mine says "Camera Guy." Pretty informal, which works for now.

[edit] After reading Scatterbrained's post, I need to change it to "Proton Harvester"

I have 3 people working in my company, we all pretty much freelance and do different things(marketing, graphic design, photography) under the same business name. My title in my email signature is "Director of Creative Services / Senior Photographer"... I'm starting to think that it's a bit much tho lol...

I think the more accurate statement would be "Photon Harvester" not Proton. ..

I've seen 2 titles on business cards that I thought were entertaining:

1 - "Decision maker"

2 - "CEO and Janitor"

~ Canon 7d / 5D ~ Novatron strobe setup + Vagabond
~ Some L glass, some flashes, the usual
