"The Avengers" Movie Set - Cleveland, Ohio

Shooting for the Marvel film "The Avengers" is taking place is downtown Cleveland the past week or two. We stopped down yesterday to take a look and walk around the city a bit. The set was quite incredible to see... All the destruction and props were wild. We had limited viewing of the set (barricaded from both ends), but I still got a few shots.

so cool that you got to take photos on set, pretty rare to have photos of urban destruction like that...cannot wait for this movie to come out too

Excellent. Your shots look like you were actually inside the ropes and on the set. Where did you shoot from? We went to Tribe game last Friday (week ago) and checked out the set during out walk to the game.

I shot from the ends of the street where the barricades were located. I brought along my 70-200 to use to get a bit of compression and "closeness". Worked out well!

Saw that they've moved live shooting to Public Square. Are you going to go again and shoot there?

Not sure if we will or not. Pretty booked up the next two weekends and don't know if we will find time to get down there again!
