I'd been wondering about you.. Glad to hear your home is safe and sound as are you and your family!

I was actually without power for about 7 hours on Sunday.. not related to the East Coast storm however.. High winds and unstable weather here.

I lost power from before dawn until about 3:00 PM Sunday afternoon. Mostly wind here and some rain. No damage that I saw. So I guess I was luckier than John. We were on the western egde of the storm.

So, John, how did you manage for so long without power? Have a generator?

Glad to hear that everyone survived with little damage.
Saw reports of the flooding in Vermont and cried when I saw the Covered Bridge at Quichee disappear.
John the smooth stone is a favourite of mine too. Walk by it almost everyday but only thought about it when the topic came up.
I really like the sandstone faces they have character.

Yea I have a generator but it wasn't working too well. We were able to get it to run enough to preserve our food, but not our water pumps or heaters. :( Luckily the weather after the storm was nice and gentle. It did remind me of how nice having electric is!
