We did OK, most of the damage seemed to be upstate NYish, I hope JohnBDigital is OK.

A lot of damage in the area but I survived and luckily so did my home

I'd been wondering about you.. Glad to hear your home is safe and sound as are you and your family!

I was actually without power for about 7 hours on Sunday.. not related to the East Coast storm however.. High winds and unstable weather here.

I lost power from before dawn until about 3:00 PM Sunday afternoon. Mostly wind here and some rain. No damage that I saw. So I guess I was luckier than John. We were on the western egde of the storm.

So, John, how did you manage for so long without power? Have a generator?

Glad to hear that everyone survived with little damage.
Saw reports of the flooding in Vermont and cried when I saw the Covered Bridge at Quichee disappear.
John the smooth stone is a favourite of mine too. Walk by it almost everyday but only thought about it when the topic came up.
I really like the sandstone faces they have character.

Yea I have a generator but it wasn't working too well. We were able to get it to run enough to preserve our food, but not our water pumps or heaters. Luckily the weather after the storm was nice and gentle. It did remind me of how nice having electric is!
