Hey guys, didn't know where to slot this since it's part camera accessory... but also not really one.

Anyway, are the lens mugs like the new 100mm L macro "non-leaking"? I had a 70-200 coffee mug thing that had a hole at the top for the hot gas to come out from. I know there are those with screw-type lids now.. can those be used as water bottles?

The 24-70 "zoomable" mug has a screw on lid with an oring inside to seal it tight. I use it for iced tea and haven't had any issues. There isn't a lot of volume inside however, so if you're actually thirsty I'd suggest something else.;) I normally just use mine around the house.

Oh I'm buying it for a friend's birthday, so I was thinking that if she could bring it out to show off to her photog friends and all that it'd be cool haha. So what I'm looking for is an O-ring seal screw-on lid eh? Anyone know how to search for that on ebay?

I would suggest getting a real bottle. Less worries about it starting to leak. :)

I have the 70-200 mug which is a press in lid that doesn't really fit tight, The 24-105 also has a press in lid.The 24-70 mug however has a snug fitting screw on lid that won't leak.
