Was at an airshow yesterday. Didn't shoot into the sun, and don't recall having the lens facing towards the direction of the sun much either. But this happened.

7D + 100-400. Camera's fully functional. This is a cosmetic blemish, but still... it feels like a runaway shopping car hitting the side of the door. :D :(

I guess the good news is if my camera ever gets stolen, it'll be easy to identify.

I think the airshows up in NorCal have better chances of seeing the f-22 raptors. Look forward to seeing your photos. Have fun, don't forget the sunblock. :D

Thanks. Yeah... guess I'll wait until the shutter goes or something on this 7D and have Canon fix this along w/ the shutter.

Yeah, went to the one in Sac last year, had the F-22 but I don't think they're coming this year.Last year the F-22 was the featured performer, this year its the F-15 so i'm a little disappointed in that but i'm still going in hopes of getting great shots.

My daugher lives about 3 miles from Langley--just open the hanger doors ;)

Nice shot of the P-38

:D Yeah. I just feel like I let my camera down to allow this to happen. Then again... I never expected it to happen at all in the first place. I'll know for the future. (I was using the Black Rapid double strap. Guess I'm going to mount it to the camera from now on instead of tripod mount on the lens. *facepalm*

I like the f-15. It's got such raw power. The f-22 demo that I saw was cool simply because everything was kind of in slow-motion as they show off the thrust vectoring. But the f-15 demo I saw in May @ Chino was very impressive as well. I think it went from take off to operational ceiling in less than 30seconds, or was it 20s. o.O

Thanks. :)

Langley gets all the cool stuff. I've also yet to see a B2. I'm hoping Edwards AFB will eventually put together another airshow again someday. But seeing how the economy is and with the California and the nation seemingly bankrupt... I guess that won't happen for some time. :(
