I have been playing around with this some and wanted some feedback on it. Not sure which one I like better, the lighter or the darker. And, do you think this needs to be straightened? The corner makes me say yes but the door makes me think different.

I personally like the lighter better. I "fixed" the perspective with the distort tool. Now both the door and the wall corner are relatively "straight" :)

I'd prefer the lighter one.

In both pictures, the area beyond the door still looks overexposed, and it's hard to tell what's happening out there. In my opinion, the most interesting part of the picture is the foreground. So if the area beyond the door is going to be overexposed anyway, then I think it's a reasonable sacrifice to make that part of the picture a little bit more exposed if it results in the foreground (which is far more interesting) better better exposed.
