She is napping next to me so yes :D We are more worried about her brownstone in the bronx which is the the second zone for evacuation. As long as Irene stays a cat 1 there is nothing to worry about. However, if she strengthens that will cause flooding damage.

Now, you have to worry when the next round of hurricanes come. This is only the beginning. :)

I wonder how many babies wiil be conceived during Irene's visit. Like the big blackout people cramped in their rooms, wait till power goes out.

Out in long island they get hammered a lot with the outer bands or remnants of hurricanes from the south.

I see the the forecast shows strong wind gusts in Long Island...flooding will be an issue near the shores...most homes have basements that will flood if no power to run the sump pumps...while living in LI, I have been in one real bad storm, glad my home had storm shutters, but lost several tree branches, good both vehicles are inside the garage.

Need longer exposure and wider aperture, but good for a first try...
