i was going to get a car but my dad said i should get a truck so if i get and any accidents if will not get as beat up. Also my dad is not using that truck anymore it just sits around his work and he has to keep it for another year and a half or so. So he said i could drive it for now then i can have some money saved up to buy my own car.

So instead you can just crush the crap out of the poor schmucks car that you hit?

common misconception of silly people that bigger vehicles keep you safer.

All depends on alcohol, speed, road conditions etc. Smaller cars are just as safe as larger ones.

Trucks are no safer than cars.

Thing is in the middle east...if someone drives into you, and they are from the middle eastern countries, the accident is "your fault". Based on the notion of "if you weren't visiting the country, the accident wouldn't have happened".. I'd never drive at a psycho speed out there :D

Tony, your Mercedes = AMG Black? 6.3L V12 beast?

In Kuwait I was nkt worried, I was guest of a well known family related to the Amir, I dont have a V12.. Speed s a function of weight of the car, plus road condition and how you work your transmission, racers shifts gears thousands of times an hour, you try to get maximum tourque from your engine.

Cheers,
Tony

Get a Mustang Shelby, what I recommended to my grandson...good size for accident protection, better than a truck, a MB,Porsche or like will ask for ridicule and even vandalism from other kids..a Mustang you can park anywhere. He got the Mustang, not a Shelby but nicely painted, stripped and equipped..if Ibwas the father I would go Shelby.
