Yup expensive wheels those Zipps are!

Yup! :)

just remember too that if a spoke goes into the carbon its prone to eventually wear out and woller. I'd be looking at Hed's if i was going to go carbon.Side winds will kill you on a disc though.

I really like the 90mm wheels but its massive and wouldnt really serve roadies any purpose if you arent racing. A nice 50mm or 70mm wheel would be nice.

A old tri guy told me when i was bragging about getting a carbon wheel, he said "you'de benifit more from loosing 10lbs you fat A$$ than you would by losing 10oz on that wheel!"

Thanks DAD!

LOL!

Nikons announcement today was a Nikon Coolpix P7100. Yawn  McNally used D3x and D7000 for video. Yawn! NEXT! At least that is better than canons calculator

Hey, Omar! It's hard to know what I've been "up to" -- I think I've just been operating on a low energy level. Part of it may be because of the roller-coaster stock market stuff (I've taken a bit of a beating, which is no good for me).

Then, between one thing and another I haven't been out on my bike for over two weeks. Aside from the above, I banged myself up a couple weeks ago (not biking-related, but when I was trying to navigate through a jumble of "stuff" that tends to build up in one of my rooms). I ended up with sore areas in my chest and my back that are at least bruises around ribs (I guess they could be cracks) so that I don't feel like physical exertion...

Anyway, I haven't had a lot of energy, even for being real active on the forum.

But then I found myself up in the middle of the night/early mornings doing that moon project, which has been fun but also has left me feeling kind of zapped! And then someone in the Astronomy section suggested I make it a 28-day project, and I'm like "Umm, well...":)!

Man Tony hopefully you didn't break anything and you heal up quick!!! That project sounds really interesting. Are you going to start up a thread?

:lol::lol: If i lost more weight i would disappear! The MPH gain of anywhere from 2-4 on those wheels really adds up on long rides. Especially on centuries.

the benifits of wheels weight is more so than seatpost and handlebar weight too, the air flows better over the wheels.

Even if i was only road racing i think i'd still invest in a swoop helmet, it would reduce the drag by ALOT!

I saw someone with a giro swoop helmet on the long island tour from June. Same guy who noticed I was wearing leopard trek. Told his son "That's leopard Trek #1 team in the uci" then passed me for a bit to which I passed him for good a bit later and all I could hear "they aren't #1 for no reason"

Damn Alex you have been going to work!

It's part of the reason why I haven't shown up in so long! Work is crazy. It is 3:26PM here now, and I finally get the chance to take my lunch break.

The photo and video stuff, though a lot, has been fun, at least. I wish I could call in sick at work to stay home and just process that endless amount of photos I have.

I built up a collection of CPLs over time -- every new lens tended to demand an upgrade of polarizers, so I have one for just about every lens size up to 82mm, and yet I rarely actually use one! I know I should, but my pouch of polarizers is one bit of gear that I tend to not remember to pack!
