Man if it wasnt for bad luck......

I took my bike to LBS last night to get my blown tire fixed, he takes it completly apart and then says, oops i dont have any 650c wheels or tubes, so i'm F_N scrambling cause i have a ton of stuff on ebay like my HED 3 wheel for sale so i can pick up a kuota carbon frame. I have the MS-150 Saturday, now i have a rim and no tire but luckely i ended the auction without a bidder getting it so i can ride on the HED wheel.

Its 80 miles though and if anything happens to it on the ride... there goes my plan for a new frame till after christmas.

I have a guy waiting on me to paypal him the money for the frame and i had to tell him last night i had an emergency and i couldn't make the funds to buy the frame and he was understanding.

I think its just not meant to be, that frame too doesnt have a seat post and the guy at the LBS told me no one makes them and Kuota isnt replacing them if they crack, i've found one source on-line and the seatpost alone is 285 dollars

Oh geez... yeah... sounds like you should look for something else.

No it got down under 90F last night. It was quite nice until about 8am.

I'm debating whether or not to make a trip to the bike shop... I've been in the area several times today already but half of them were before they were open, and the other half I was with my family...

Under 90 is nice. We're supposed to be at 63F tomorrow. Right now it's 75F and raining. Yesterday was hot and really, really humid. It's been foggy almost every morning too.

Does she work Sundays? Or have you figured that out yet?

What's up with all the flat tires? You riding over sharp rocks or something? I haven't had a flat while riding since I was a kid. And I ride my bike on the railroad tracks.

I have no idea... literally the only day I've seen her in there is on Fridays. But I've only ever been on Wed/Thurs/Fri.

I had a flat this morning too.... I've had 3 flats while riding on my road bike. Two of them came during one ride. ALL 3 have been on the SAME stretch of road.... two were from staples and the third my tire just got obliterated (missing chunk and a big gash).

I was even running gatorskins today :(, I pulled the tire off and part of a staple was sticking like 1/4" into my tube. I did finally get to use one of my CO2 cartridges though, that was nifty. :D

Maybe you should stay off that section of road. Sounds like flat tires can really up the price of cycling.

I wonder how all the bikers around here manage to get through their rides. The bike trail shares the road on Michigan Line and that's where most everyone is out riding as there is little traffic. But it's a B-class road that's not asphalt but tar & chip.

I'm sure there are, but I'm sure they would weight quite a bit more which would not be a good thing.

But if you used them for training and got used to the weight of them, and then switched to a regular tire for an event, then you'd be riding a lighter bike.

BAH! So I ran to the shop about 45 minutes before close, I had to pick up some more CO2 cartridges... She was there... But of course she was helping someone pick out a bike...

She did walk by as I was checking out and asked about another one of my rides I had mentioned to her, stupidly I thought she was talking about a different one but yeah (She asked if I got the 50 mile ride in yet... I said no).. Oh and she thought my name was John... I don't know if that means anything but eh...

That sucked. :/
