Well the movie is 18 years old. It was a pretty amazing movie when it came out.

I agree with this. At the time of it's release Jurassic Park was great. Few movies stand the test of time and Jurassic is one of them. Mention it and odds are almost anyone you know has seen it. Regardless of demographic. Few movies can say that.

For sure. Even Titanic hasn't held on well and that was HUGE when it came out.

Jurassic Park is a movie like Indiana Jones - people who loved them when they were kids show it to their kids who love it, they just keep going.
