Yeah, we're not tech-savvy enough to have covered that base, I'm afraid; I thought of every question I could before we bought, but I knew there'd be things (definitely plural) I'd overlooked.

We have a new websote that will lauch as soon as I am able to get galleries and content uploaded, it is not a Flash only site tho it does have flash capabilities. That's what the developer said, anyway :)

Also, the new site will not have music :) Thanks for sharing your knowledge, as always, much appreciated.

No.
A mac can display flash. An iPad, iPod or iPhone cannot. (which is a very well known "feature", quite surprised you found out only now)

You could (should!) have your website automatically switch to a flash-less "mobile" site.

Then again, I'd abandon Flash altogether, since it adds nothing but eye-candy (which can be done in HTML) and problems: "heavy", not that well colormanaged, less SEO friendly, won't play back everywhere (I use a flash blocker in my browser), etc.

Most problems can be "worked around", but IMO, flash is very much (over)used on websites that do not require it.

Oh. And some people (like me) hate websites that start playing music automatically ;)

Just wanted to update this a little by posting that, thanks to the fabulous help I received, I was able to install CS5 on my iMac and get my actions from my PC transferred over to the iMac! Next I tackle LR3 :)

Ok, after my roaring success with tranferring my actions to the iMac & CS5, I can't seem to figure out how to get the presets from LR3 imported to the new coputer. I saved all my presets on my PC & LR3 to a cd, installed LR3 on the iMac, then popped in the cd with the saved presets, thinking I would open LR3, go to Develop & Presets/UserPresets, then import from the cd...but I can't choose Presets, nothing happens when I click on it. Is it becuase I have no images imported?

Later: I imported some photos and now the presets that come with LR3 are showing...still can't figure how to get these saved presets from the cd to User presets...

I don't have LR, but ACR & LR share some things so hopefully this will help. Do a search on your mac for .xmp files and see where they're stored on the mac. As .xmp's are also the extension for RAW file adjustments, you'll need to look at the parent folder and see which one LR stores the presets in. Once you have that info, it's a simple matter of drag & drop from the cd to that folder.

THanks for the link! I can't view it here at work but I'll look when I get home. I got on my iMac again after I posted this morning, and I went to the dvd drive (I don't know the MAc lingo so not sure I'm saying this stuff right) and opened it so I could see all the preset files there; I clicked on one and a window popped up asking if I wanted to install the file. I clicked Yes and the window went away and I went to LR3 (which was open) and looked under presets but it wasn't there...I wasn't asked where I wanted the file installed, I just thought since LR3 was open it somehow knew that's where to put it...ha.
