I scratched the original focus screen of my 5Dii while I was replacing it with Eg-s.
Where can I find a replacement for it?

Same place you bought the EG-S? If not there, B&H and Adorama sells them. It's the EG-A, that's standard in the camera.

If you have all fast lenses (faster than 2.*) you might as well think of Eg-S.

I got mine for a lot less from here: http://uscamera.com/cy3-1600.htm (external link)

Took them a while to ship though, around 10 days.

I also ordered the superimposed screen from there.

You can, it's just that the viewfinder will be a little dark.. and be very dark in low light situations.

then what's the model people usually suggest for 5D2 to use to help focus in low light situations?

If you're using f/4 or slower lenses in lowlight situations, then you may want to stick with the standard focus screen. There's no real benefit to using the Eg-S screen with slower lenses in any kind of light, because at f/4 you're seeing a pretty accurate representation of the DOF.

The Eg-S screens is recommended for f/2.8 or faster lenses because it makes the viewfinder darker.... but fast lenses let in more light, so it's not a problem. You can use a f/4 or slower lens with the Eg-S screen, but it does make the viewfinder noticeably darker. If you're outside in full daylight, it's not such an issue, but IMO in low light situations it's too dark.

I personally really like the Eg-D with the grid. I found the Eg-S to be too dull even with a f/2 lens.
I bought my last screen from Amazon (UK)
