Sweet pictures but the vignettes are too strong. I would lose it in some of the pictures altogether.

These are great shots. Really like the last one. The expression on her face is priceless.

I disagree with Jase about the vignetting... I like it and think it adds to the images, however, I think this is definitely an "older" look, more of a traditional portraiture look, so I understand him not liking it.

(Harley, you did sound rather harsh and defensive there... easy. ;) )

ps - Harley, what lens did you shoot these with? It's beautifully soft in the background. Tell us more?

Beautiful pics....:)

Don't worry about the vignette debate... it's his signature thing.. and he loves them that way! :)

We all love different things.. and nothing wrong with letting your inner artist rule your style... :)

Happy Day and thanks for sharing! She is soooo cute!

I guess I always thought the ;) meant a tongue in cheek response. I really took no offense.

I have been around long enough to know that photography is very subjective. The vignette is something that I love, something that I was taught in the darkroom in the 70's. As Kristy knows...I comment about it all the time in a thread that she and I frequent.

So sorry if it sounded like I was offended. I take all comments that I receive, apply them to how I feel and think and move on. Sometimes I listen and take the advice and sometimes I just do what I want. I think we all do.

I was shooting my 70-200. I know this will suprise several people because the 85L is almost always glued to my camera.

Vignette or not, they are really nice pics with a very pretty little one. What I really like is the grain in the B&W one.

Thanks. Another habit I tend to over use. I love film grain.
