75-300mm f/4-5.6 III fibers in lens

Hello I have a 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III lens and there are a few fibers that some how managed to get into the front section of the lens. Is there anyway to get these out without sending the lens in?

Don't worry about it as they won't show up in your pictures. Sending it in for cleaning would cost more than the lens is worth.

It's a $140 lens of course it can be cleaned without sending it in.

there are 3 screws that hold the front element in which can be removed and the glass element mount will come right out so that you can clean that area.
