Being an avid cyclist myself, i always wanted to try my hand at cycling photography. I also wanted to challenge myself in using a 50mm F1.4 ART lens at wide apertures. I had some awesome action shots in mind, but after 15 mins of test shots (shown below), i got a call from a family member of a death in the family and couldnt finish the shoot. Im still quite pleased with what I achived.

I used 2 speedlights in an OCTA as a main, and one rim light, High speed sync was a must due to the very high shutter speeds to reduce the exposure of the very bright african sun.

Two of my favorites.....as a sad note, as a result shooting this cross race, I killed my Nikon D300 with water damage. Ironically, my D7000 survived....

One more....early 6am local race with ISO 3200, 1dmarkIII. Tough lighting condition. I really dig the perspective of this shot considering that the local park does not have "hills."
