Have not sold one photograph, need help!

I have had my website up for over a year and have not sold any pictures. I have hopes of making a little money from sales to improve my equipment. I will appreciate all of the advice you are able to give. Price too high, more time inviting local people to site, improve quality, etc. Please look it over and give me your advice. http://www.naturetrail​photo.com

How many people visit your site daily? If a thousand people a day view it and no one buys, it's probably your pricing or quality of work. If only 5 people a month visit your site... that's your problem. You need to advertise and display your work for others to see.

There really isn't much money to be made from nature/landscape photography these days.

To be honest, looking at the slideshow on your homepage I see a lot of "ordinary" photos that most probably would not want prints of. Try choosing your absolute best 5 or so photos to use in that slideshow. First impressions are everything. If I had just stumbled upon your site (without being prompted to by you in this forum to critique it) I would never have even gotten to your galleries because the slideshow wasn't really up to par.

Are you doing Google analytics to track visitors?
Do you have prints up in local spots? Coffee shops, restaurants, Chamber of Commerce and the like?

None of the above! I will look into all of your great suggestions!

You are not telling people that "This site contains photos that can be bought as prints"... Instead your site says "Welcome to Nature Trail Photo. The images on this site are for your enjoyment."

Not till you navigate to an image you like is there a little tiny Buy button...

Make it look like a store if you want to sell.

Some images might sell as stock, although that market doesn't pay a lot.

rename your site to "photos of the cutest animals ever" and go after that market, get rid of everything else.

seriously, those bunnies are freaking adorable.

Not to sound too mean but the pictures look right off the camera, if you touched them up just a tad, increased vividness and the likes they would be a lot more appealing for someone to purchase. They are great shots, just needs to be a little bit more colorful!

I am color blind to greens, reds, blues and purple so I avoid photoshop. Without a doubt, I will mess it up thinking it looks better! I will look into vividness, as long as it does not change the color i should be able to do something with this. Thank you for the advice.

I agree, you have to search out the buy button. It is like an afterthought, rather than the primary reason the site is there.

I'm glad you like the wildlife! The bunnies are my granddaughters favorites!
